The hydraulic fluid coupling is a kind of hydraulic transmission device that uses the kinetic energy of the liquid to transmit energy. It uses liquid oil as the working medium, and transforms the mechanical energy and the kinetic energy of the liquid through the pump wheel and turbine, so as to connect the prime mover and the working machinery to realize power transmission. According to its application characteristics, hydraulic coupler can be divided into three basic types, namely ordinary type, torque limiting type, speed regulating type and two derivative types: hydraulic fluid coupling transmission device and hydraulic reducer.
Fluid coupling is widely used in coal mine and ship hoisting and transportation machinery. Working principle of Fluid coupling
The Fluid coupling is a sealing mechanism containing two annular discs. The driving wheel is called the pump wheel, the driven wheel is called the turbine, and both the pump wheel and turbine are called working wheels. In the annular shell of the working wheel, many blades are arranged radially. After the pump wheel and turbine are assembled, an annular cavity is formed, which is filled with working oil. The pump wheel is usually driven to rotate, driving the working fluid to perform more complex centripetal force movement. The high-speed oil will impact the turbine blade under the action of, and transfer the kinetic energy to the turbine, making the turbine and pump wheel rotate in the same direction. The oil flows back to the pump wheel from the blade edge of the turbine to form a circulation loop, and its flow path is like a ring helix connected end to end
